Hanger patient starring in upcoming episode of NCIS Los Angeles

Hanger patient John Siciliano will appear on an upcoming episode of NCIS Los Angeles.  According to their website, NCIS Los Angeles is a drama about the high stakes world of the Office of Special Projects (OSP), a division of NCIS that is charged with apprehending dangerous and elusive criminals that pose a threat to the nation's security. Watch Tuesday, December 15th at 9pm ET on CBS as Siciliano enters the mix as “Hastings King”.

About John Siciliano:  An actor and former Paralympic champion from Pittsburgh, John lost his leg four inches above-the-knee when a drunk driver struck the car he was riding in.  He was 22-years-old.

After a long and arduous rehabilitation, John went on to break the National Record for the 200-meter race at the 1996 Paralympic Trials in Atlanta, Georgia. During the 200 meter Paralympic Finals – a race he was slated to win – John's prosthetic leg dislodged and fell off mid-stride.  John came crashing down on the track, heartbroken and frustrated, in the biggest race of his life.  With unrelenting spirit and fight, John proceeded to hop on one leg, with his prosthetic leg in his hand, across the finish line to thunderous applause and a standing ovation.

In addition to his athletic accomplishments, John is also an actor who’s played roles in NBC’s hit drama ER, Scrubs with Zach Braff, NBC’s Days of our Lives, Showtime’s Sleeper Cell, Stephen Bochco’s wartime drama TV series Over There, and the CBS police drama NCIS.
