New York, N.Y. – In an article titled, “Bionic Legs, i-Limbs, and Other Super Human Prostheses You'll Envy”, Fast Company magazine features Hanger Orthopedic Group and Hanger upper extremity patient advocate, Carrie Davis. The article, in the February issue on newsstands now, recognizes Hanger as a “major player” in the orthotics and prosthetics business and highlights Carrie Davis’s use of the i-Limb, the upper extremity prosthetic technology that incorporates five individually-powered microprocessor-controlled finger joints that flex and bend like natural fingers.
The article also identifies Carrie as the Amputee Empowerment Partners (AEP) program national coordinator. AEP is a program that provides peer guidance and support through a formalized, national peer-to-peer support network. As the coordinator, Carrie oversees more than 400 volunteers and also takes the time to visit with new amputees across the country to provide support during a very difficult time in their lives.
